Honolulu Quantar Down

We have had continued failures of the Honolulu FFMB Quantar repeater. It is currently down due to a hardware failure.

Because of the COVIT-19 restrictions and our concern for not getting the virus because of travel, we have not been able to effect repair of the repeater at this time.

What we’ll probably try to do is to pack up the repeater and ship it back to Hilo where I can make the repairs and do a proper alignment and then ship it back.

P25 Digitially Linked Repeaters

We have completed the upgrade to link the Digital P25 side to the outside world. We currently are able to link to P25NX and DVSwitch systems that are available in the world. Along with this, we have established a Hawaii reflector group for P25 that has several talkgroups that are available to the public. Feel free to use them. I will be writing up some documentation on how to use this mode as it can get complicated depending on what kind of radio you are using.

You must be in the proper talkgroup in order to link the system you want to be on. There is a 10 minute inactivity timer that will revert back to the Hawaii talkgroup (31150) in order keep the repeaters linked together via P25 as much of the time when they are not in use. The Hawaii talkgroups are as follows:

Hawaii State Wide: TG-31150
Hawaii – Tac 1: TG-31151
Hawaii – Tac 2: TG-31152
Hawaii – Tac 3: TG-31153
Allstar Node 27084: TG-27084
Parrot Mode: TG-10
Disconnect: TG-9999 (Pressing the PTT once for 1 second will disconnect the reflector)

If you’re using DVSWITCH software on your system, your welcome to connect to the Hawaii P25 Talkgroups at the following addresses:

TG-31150 Address: p25.wh6fm.org Port: 41000
TG-31151 Address: p25.wh6fm.org Port: 41001
TG-31152 Address: p25.wh6fm.org Port: 41002
TG-31153 Address: p25.wh6fm.org Port: 41003
TG-27084 Address: p25.wh6fm.org Port: 41004

You can see what other linked talkgroups are available by going to this P25 Reflector page.

TG-27084 is usually linked to the WIN System at our DR Fortress Datacenter Hub Node.

Please refer to the repeater page to see the configuration you need to access P25 using a APCO P25 Phase I compliant radio.
